Micro Systems & Controls has design experience in a wide range of technologies
and can provide effective solutions in a variety of hardware and software disciplines.
The following represents a list of our design capabilities.
1. Processor and DSP Design
We use different processor from 8, 16 and 32 bit families as per the requirement of various projects. We work with Atmel, Philips, Silicon Labs, TI, ARM, etc as per the requirement of the embedded system. We have full capability in firmware development in assembly, C and C++ for these processor utilizing high end compilers. We have a wide experience in industrial communication protocols and networking.For larger, more powerful real-time Embedded Systems, we use embedded PC boards utilizing Intel and AMD Processors along with Flash and SDRAM memory technologies running on real time embedded operating systems.
2. Digital Circuit Design
Everything in the digital world is based on the digital logic. Our digital circuit design contains logic gates, flip-flops, multiplexers, etc of standard logic families (TTL, CMOS) apart from Programmable Gate Arrays FPGAs as well as PALs (Programmable Array Logic) for applications which require high gate count. The small size of these circuits allows high speed, low power dissipation, and reduced manufacturing cost compared with board-level integration. We also design user friendly and attractive Keypad and Display for your product using LED or LCD display technology. Interfaces such as RS232, I2C, USB and RS485 can be included to communicate with computers or other equipment.
3. Analog Circuit Design
Analog circuits are of great importance in electronic system design since the world is fundamentally analog in nature. While the amount of digital design activity far outpaces that of analog design, most digital systems require analog modules for interfacing to the external world. We design analog electronic circuits including amplifiers, A/D and D/A converters, filters, signal processing, etc. Our analog designs specializes in low noise designs and utilizes proper circuit board layout techniques to minimize signal crosstalk and EMI.
4. PC Software Design
In addition to developing firmware for embedded processors we also develop software for PC based platforms in windows and linux operating systems. We work in C ,C++,C# and Visual Basic.
We have developed HMI, SCADA and Datalogging software products and have also done various projects for different customers involving screen development with dynamic mimic elements. Screen shots of some of our projects are attached at the end of this document.
5. Graphical User Interface Design
We have a wide experience in design of graphical user interfaces both keyboard based as well as touch type for operator panel applications.

6. Schematic Capture and PCB Layout
To successfully meet project goals, PCB designers and electrical engineers need powerful, intuitive, and integrated technologies that work seamlessly across the entire PCB design flow. We use CAD software and provide in-house Schematic Capture and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Layout. Our CAD systems allow us to develop Multilayer Boards using Leaded or Surface Mount technology.
7. Enclosure Design
We can fabricate enclosure and panels to IP55 and IP65 requirements in MS and aluminium with powder coated finish. We also work closely with different enclosure manufacturers to provide cost effective solutions in both ABS Plastic and Sheet Metal.
8. RF Design
We have developed Q24 Evaluation Board which offers a very cost-effective and easy way to evaluate and develop applications with Wavecom Q24 module. This board finds its application in Vehicle Tracking Unit, equipped with state of the art GPS receiver provides reliable and accurate navigation data. The unit enables the vehicle owners or third parties to track the location of a Truck, Ship, Container, Car or any object which is moving. All the communication with the user/server is handled by Tri-Band GSM/GPRS module which accurately delivers all the navigation date. The communication is either through Short Message Service (SMS) or GPRS network.
We can provide re-engineering of an existing product to utilize the latest available components, achieve miniaturization, and decrease parts count and expense. Our Product Re-engineering process helps in reducing costs associated with maintaining old designs & the production and improving user friendliness and portability of applications or tools.
